Elevator wire ropes are usually produced using 8 strands that are weaved in SEALE mode. elevator wire rope can be produced using both fiber core (FC) and steel core (IWRC). for general consumption elevator wire ropes are produced in diameters varying from 8 to 13 mm, however, some producers like GUSTAV WOLF use specific structures known as PAWO and produce elevator wire ropes up to 20mm.
